Congressman Pastor seeks re-election to Fourth District

Final nominating petitions filed Tuesday

PHOENIX, Ariz. - Congressman Ed Pastor filed the final round of nomination petitions for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives in the Fourth Congressional District. Pastor, who was first elected to Congress in 1991, is seeking to serve an eighth term in the House.

"I will continue to work hard towards a more secure country and a more robust economy. My priorities are to make medical assistance available for the uninsured, improve educational opportunities for my constituents, and restore fiscal responsibility to our country's budget." Pastor said.

Pastor filed more than 1,500 petition signatures with the Secretary of State's office. It was more than three times the amount of signatures required from Maricopa County in order to seek re-election.

To date, Pastor has received endorsements from the Sierra Club, NARAL, Arizona State Association of Electrical Workers, and NETWORK, a national Catholic social justice lobby group.

Pastor for Arizona Headquarters is located at 4624 N. 7th Avenue, Phoenix.
